A study in photography.

Opening August 25th, 2011 and running through November 6th, 2011, a new display, “Neighbors: Photography by David and Kathy Myers” will be presented at the Muskegon Museum of Art, located in the newly renovated heart of downtown Muskegon. The exhibit features two dozen large-scale portraits of residents from throughout Muskegon County, representing the area’s diverse culture.

David Myers collaborated with Corporate Color Graphics to produce this stunning imagery. Dave commented, “When we came up with the idea of doing portraits of families in Muskegon County and enlarging them to 48×60 inches, one of my main concerns was the quality of the finished product. It had to live up to the expectation of high quality. Corporate Color Graphics did an extraordinary job. They not only provided incredibly sharp prints from digital files, but they also were able to provide an archival mounting system that was appropriate for the Muskegon Museum of Art exhibit. It turned out much better than I had anticipated.

Judith Hayner, Museum Executive Director, “It has been a pleasure working with Corporate Color Graphics on this project. We are proud of Neighbors: Photography by David and Kathy Myers, not only because of the message of the exhibition – that, indeed, in Muskegon County, we are all neighbors, with more alike than different – but also because of the beauty of the photographic work and the quality of the murals.

Kevin Wells, Senior Commercial Consultant, Corporate Color Graphics, “Retaining extreme detail while at the same time maintaining consistency across multiple pieces with museum grade quality was the challenge, especially given the larger 5 ft. x 4 ft. tall pieces. Once produced, the challenge of mounting and displaying the art was met with our unique solution of custom designed box frames, built utilizing our in-house CNC design and production capabilities. Concept to prototype was completed in two weeks. The entire project was completed and delivered on time and within budget, a trademark of Corporate Color Graphics for the past 37 years.
